Barcode Add In For Microsoft® Excel®:
Need a lot of barcodes? Need them fast? How about this tool with a mail merge. This add in creates a function, like any other in Excel, that creates Code 128 Barcodes quick and easily. When using a mail merge you can literally be printing thousands of barcodes in minutes, This add in is based on the Code 128 barcode format which allows encoding of all characters in the ASCII character set. (Requires Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Excel 2000 - 2010, 32 and 64 bit versions.)

Thank You for a great add in for Excel! I am brand new to bar codes and wanted an easy way to print, label and inventory my landscape equipment and your program did the trick! Please let me know of any new software that you create! Sincerely, Tom Baskin, Owner, Grasshopper Lawn Care

To install, run the installer. The computer will need to reboot after installation. Then open Excel and in Excel 2007 & 2010 select more commands, then add ins, then Excel Add Ins and click the check box next to the code 128 add in. In prior versions of Excel go to Tools--> Add Ins and select the check box next to the code 128 add in.

To use click the cell you want the barcode to appear in and click the function button. View all functions and select "ConvertStringToCode128." In the standard function dialog, enter the text, or the cell that contains the text, and click OK. You will be left with a string that, when changed to the proper font, will be a properly structured Code 128 barcode. You can change to the Code 128 font in Excel for printing and testing, or you can create multiple strings and import them into Microsoft Word with a Mail Merge.  Unregistered version returns a please register string each tenth time it is called by Excel.

Why so inexpensive? There must be a catch, right? Wrong. No catches, no commitments. Similar products sell for hundreds of dollars. And, if you want to see the barcode on other workstations, you need to buy multiple licenses!  With this Office solution the barcode fonts are available free.  No additional royalties of any kind need to be paid for the barcode to be viewable on every workstation in your company. Just install the fonts and it's done.

Until registered, barcodes created with this tool contain the word "DEMO."
